November A Month of Change & Halloween Costumes!
November is here, and we have snow! This month means I will be able to safely go in the bush soon, since bears will be tucked away in their dens, and my body will have to get used to the cold, and somehow it always does.
November was the month my son was born, which is such a beautiful thing!! He is such an intense child, completely opposite of me in most ways. which teaches me so much! It has been hard. He is autistic and aggressive but very intelligent. There have been many years, all I did was try to comfort him as he screamed and was uncomfortable. He used to attack me physically 12 plus times a day. This boy of mine still struggles with self-regulation, sensory overload, and anxiety. He still lashes out physically. He has humbled me, stretched me, shocked me, and made me more patient. He has showed me what love is. Underneath all the struggle he is very creative, detailed, affectionate, and outgoing. I am thankful for him!
November was the month my dad was born. My parents got married. It's the month I get my snow tires on my vehicle and plan to stay put, as the roads aren't great through the winter. It's when Ontario gets decorated for Christmas time.
I am working hard at my top albums of 2025! And can't wait to show you what I came up with and reflect on music from this year! Is it clear to you what the best albums are his year?
I always make a Halloween costume that goes along with my son's. This year he wanted to be Dave Mustaine, with his curly big red hair, and v guitar made out of cardboard. And I was Vic Rattlehead, of course! It was kind of an honour to do this with him, and it gave me a creative outlet to make something. I like making things with my hands.
Please take care!
